For what bookings can I use the online modification and refund module?
A.
In the following instances, change or refund can be processed online after the application of the rebooking or cancelation fees :
If the change/cancelation is for the complete booking of all passengers
If a rebooking fee or fare difference is payable then rebooking is permitted for only up to two reissues
If the ticket is totally unutilised
The online rebooking / cancelation module cannot be used if
Changes to the booking are made offline at any reservations office
Change or cancelation is for one passenger in a multi passenger booking
If the ticket is partially utilized
If full refund is required for cancelled flights
The fare rule does not permit a rebooking or cancelation
If the booking has been made using the multi city link
If in case the booking cannot be modified online then you would have to contact the reservations office or the nearest Air India office for rebooking and payment of the charges and any applicable fare/tax difference.
If in case the booking cannot be cancelled online then you would have to contact the reservations office or the nearest Air India office for the cancelation of the booking to avoid any no-show charges. An email has to be sent to ecommerce@airindia.in for initiating the online refund.
